About
Sarah Hale
BSc (Hons), PGDip
I have worked in the NHS for over 10 years and as a Senior Occupational Therapist I have worked in a wide range of healthcare settings, from working in A&E and rapid response, to community rehabilitation teams and in-patient rehab units. I continue to work as part of the NHS on a locum basis and so participate regularly in a multi-disciplinary team (with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and GPs), which maintains my inter-professional skills. I have a great deal of experience working in the community supporting people to maintain their independence and engage in their activities of daily living safely and successfully.
Starting my own practice, Avon Community Therapists, has enabled me to provide truly high-quality, holistic therapy in people’s own homes. We are able to offer timely assessments and interventions, which has a significant effect on patient outcomes. Providing rehabilitation as well as preventative healthcare at home is crucial in keeping people active, healthy, and being able to participate and enjoy life. I believe that consistency of care, honesty, and being person-centred are the most important standards in healthcare, which is at the forefront of the practice.
